Winter brings humpback whales to the waters off West Maui, and Ocean Spirit offers a comfortable way to watch for them along the scenic coastline. Departing from Lahaina Harbor, this modern catamaran carries you into an important seasonal habitat where breaches, tail slaps and other memorable whale behavior may unfold nearby.
Certified marine naturalists lead the experience, sharing expert interpretation of humpback whale behavior, migration and biology based on decades of research and field experience in these waters. Underwater hydrophones may also let you hear the haunting songs of whales beneath the surface, while the onboard Jr. Naturalist program gives younger guests a fun way to learn more about these remarkable animals.

The Ocean Spirit was custom designed and features streamlined hulls and a spacious deck design, providing the ultimate in passenger comfort. The extra large deck offers plenty of outdoor seating. The vessel features his and her bathrooms, padded seating and a surround sound system. Although the Ocean Spirit has a capacity of 90 passengers, Pacific Whale Foundation limits the number of passengers by cruise type to provide an open yachting experience with plenty of room to relax.
