Cast off from Ma'alaea Harbor aboard the high-speed catamaran Malolo and head for the open Pacific, where Maui's winter waters come alive with humpback whales. As gentle swells roll beneath the twin hulls, keep your camera ready for breaches, tail slaps and pectoral waves—each narrated by onboard naturalists who share the science and folklore behind these dramatic displays.
An underwater hydrophone lets you listen in on the haunting songs that echo through the deep, while unlimited cold drinks keep everyone refreshed during the two-hour adventure along South Maui's coastline.

Check in at Boss Frog's at Ma'alaea Harbor, 300 Ma'alaea Road, Building 2, Shop# 2N, Wailuku, HI 96793 (View Map).
There will be a Malolo crew member waiting at a table outside the store to help you get checked-in. Paid parking is available at Maui Harbor Shops / Maui Ocean Center and at Ma'alaea Harbor around the boat slips. Give yourself extra time to account for traffic, weather, road construction, parking, and the walk from the parking lot to the boat slip (10-15 minutes) in order to arrive at check-in 30 minutes prior to departure.
