The Polynesian Cultural Center turns a full day into a journey through the cultures of Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji and Aotearoa. Explore island villages, enjoy dinner and stay for the Ha: Breath of Life evening show.
The Polynesian Cultural Center is the kind of place where the day unfolds one island at a time. Set on 42 acres in Laie, the park brings together six Pacific cultures — Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti, Tonga, Aotearoa and Hawaii — with music, dance, crafts, games and demonstrations spread throughout the grounds.
You can wander between the villages, stop for canoe presentations, watch cultural demonstrations, take a canoe ride through the park and learn how traditions differ from one island group to another. The pace is flexible, so you can linger where something catches your interest instead of feeling like you have to rush through every stop.
Dining depends on the package you choose. Options may include the Gateway Buffet or Alii Luau, and alcohol is not sold or permitted at the center.
As evening arrives, the focus shifts to Ha: Breath of Life, a large stage production with music, dance, fire and performers representing cultures from across Polynesia. When choosing your package, think about how much of the park you want included, whether you want dinner, and if you need transportation to and from Laie.
