On Kauai, the trip to the snorkel spot can be just as memorable as the time in the water. A Na Pali Coast tour carries you beneath towering green cliffs and past stretches of shoreline that cannot be reached by road, with opportunities to stop and snorkel when conditions are right.

Holo Holo Charters and Blue Dolphin Charters currently offer several ways to experience it, including Na Pali snorkel sails, full-day Niihau and Na Pali trips, a smaller 25-foot raft adventure, and a seasonal Deluxe Sunset Na Pali Snorkel. Current tour times range from about 5 to 7.5 hours.

If you want more space to relax between stops, a catamaran can make the day feel easier, with meals included on many routes depending on the departure. A raft brings you closer to the water and gives the ride a more adventurous feel. Niihau trips are the bigger commitment, with longer open-ocean crossings and a full day built around the journey.
