Dolphin excursions around Maui have a nice sense of discovery to them. Once the boat leaves the harbor, everyone starts watching the water a little more closely, waiting for that first fin, splash, or group of dolphins to appear alongside the boat.

Spinner dolphins are among the species most often seen in Hawaii, but you may also encounter bottlenose dolphins, spotted dolphins, or other marine life along the way.

If you want to keep the day focused on wildlife, a dedicated dolphin watch may be the better fit. If snorkeling sounds just as important as the dolphin search, the Lanai option gives you more variety and a longer day on the ocean.
