About Pacific Whale Foundation - Classic Whale Watch Cruise
Join Pacific Whale Foundation on a classic Maui whale watch cruise with humpback whale viewing, naturalist-style narration and beautiful winter ocean scenery.
You step aboard a comfortable power catamaran and head into the warm blue waters off Maui, home to the largest concentration of North Pacific humpback whales. Certified marine naturalists share fascinating facts about whale migration, social behavior and conservation research while you watch spouts rise on the horizon.
When the captain slows for a closer look, the crew lowers sensitive hydrophones so you can listen to the haunting songs that echo beneath the surface. Keep your camera ready for tail slaps, pectoral waves and full-body breaches that can happen without warning. Young explorers can join the onboard Junior Naturalist Program for hands-on learning and whale trivia during the two-hour cruise.

Check in 45 minutes prior to your selected tour time at the Pacific Whale Foundation's Ocean Store at the Maui Harbor Shops, which shares a parking lot with Maui Ocean Center, located at 192 Maalaea Rd, Wailuku (GPS address). View Map
Parking is paid throughout the harbor. Please review signage upon arrival.
Restrictions
There are no specific restrictions for this activity.
Wheelchairs: Due to the design of Pacific Whale Foundation vessels none of the vessels are truly wheelchair accessible. Some vessels have really high steps so it is not suggested even with assistance to board from another member of your group due to the fact that vessel type is subject to change without notice.
Special Notes
Affordable rentals of binoculars and cameras are available. Snacks and refreshments (soda, juice, Maui Brewing Co. beer and wine) are available for purchase. Alcoholic beverages are for adults 21+ (must have valid picture ID).
