Join Pacific Whale Foundation for an exclusive Maui whale watch with the experts, featuring humpback whale viewing, deeper narration and winter ocean scenery.
Step aboard Ocean Spirit, a sleek sailing catamaran, and join Pacific Whale Foundation researchers and certified marine naturalists for an up-close look at Maui's humpback whales. With open-air seating and plenty of rail space, you can watch breaches, tail slaps and pectoral waves while learning how scientists study these gentle giants. A hydrophone lets you hear haunting whale songs as they echo through the water.
Whale sightings are guaranteed. If no whales appear, you'll receive a free ticket to try again on a classic whale watch.

Check in 45 minutes prior to departure at the Pacific Whale Foundation's Ocean Store at the Maui Harbor Shops, which shares a parking lot with Maui Ocean Center, located at 192 Maalaea Rd, Wailuku (GPS address). View Map
Parking is paid throughout the harbor. Please review signage upon arrival.

Equipment
The Ocean Spirit is Pacific Whale Foundation's newest sailing catamaran. It was custom designed and features streamlined hulls and a spacious deck design, providing the ultimate in passenger comfort. The extra large deck offers plenty of outdoor seating. The vessel features his and her air-conditioned bathrooms, padded seating and a surround sound system.
