About Polynesian Adventure Tours - Haleakala Sunrise Tour M3
Watch sunrise from Haleakala with Polynesian Adventure Tours on a guided Maui morning tour featuring high-elevation scenery, crater views and upcountry landscapes.
Rise before dawn and climb 10,000 feet above sea level to greet the first light of day from the summit of Haleakalā, the "House of the Sun." Your driver-guide picks you up in an air-conditioned minibus and shares stories of volcanic legends, rare silversword plants and Upcountry ranches as you wind upward through the dark. At the summit you step into crisp mountain air and watch the horizon glow, then burst into brilliant color as sunlight spills across the crater floor.
After sunrise you stop at the visitor center for souvenirs and sweeping views before descending through rolling pastures and eucalyptus groves to a country estate for a hearty local breakfast. Recharged and filled with fresh memories, you return to your hotel before most travelers have even left their rooms.
