Start the day high above Maui with a pre-dawn drive to Haleakalā National Park. Your driver-guide takes you up the mountain in an air-conditioned minibus while sharing stories about the volcano, Upcountry Maui and native plants such as the rare silversword.

At the summit area, step into the cool mountain air and watch the sky brighten over the crater as the sun rises above the clouds. Afterward, stop at the Haleakalā Visitor Center for more views before beginning the drive back down through Maui's changing landscape.

The morning finishes with a plated breakfast at Café O'Lei at the Mill House, with several menu choices available before returning to your hotel.
