About Ku'ia Estate - Cacao Farm Tour & Treehouse Lunch
Visit Ku'ia Estate on Maui for a guided cacao farm tour with orchard views, chocolate tasting and a treehouse lunch overlooking West Maui scenery.
Follow the story of chocolate from cacao tree to finished bar on a guided visit to Ku'ia Estate, home to the largest chocolate factory in the state of Hawaii. The experience begins at the Ku'ia Estate Chocolate Factory in Lahaina, where your guide introduces the craft behind the estate's award-winning chocolate.
A scenic 10-minute ride then carries you into the foothills of the West Maui Mountains and the private cacao estate. More than 20 acres of cacao trees spread across the property, offering a closer look at how cacao is grown in Hawaii, cared for, harvested and prepared during the earliest stages of chocolate making.
Walk through the orchard, learn how fresh cacao pods are picked and processed, and enjoy a curated 9-piece tasting of Ku'ia's signature chocolates. The experience concludes with a catered lunch from Kapena's Kitchen in an open-air treehouse tucked into the canopy, surrounded by peaceful estate views and cool upcountry breezes.

- Kapena's Shoyu-Braised Chicken with Vegetable Fried Rice (GF) – Tender bone-in chicken thighs slowly braised in Kapena's signature shoyu glaze, crafted with gluten-free soy sauce, pineapple juice, fresh garlic, and ginger. Served alongside fragrant vegetable fried rice finished with ginger, seasonal vegetables, sesame oil, soy sauce, and a sweet chili glaze.
- Classic Chicken Caesar Pita – Herb-baked chicken breast layered with crisp romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan, and traditional anchovy Caesar dressing, wrapped in warm grilled pita bread and finished with house-seasoned herb croutons.
- Caprese Sandwich with Vegetable Fried Rice (v) – Toasted rosemary focaccia layered with fresh mozzarella, vine-ripened Kamuela tomatoes, and mixed greens, complemented by Kapena's house-made nut-free pesto and a balsamic glaze. Served with vegetable fried rice.
- Keiki Meal – Grass-Fed Beef Slider – Juicy grass-fed beef patty topped with crisp lettuce and ripe tomato, served on a soft sweet Hawaiian roll with Maui-style chips.

Restrictions
Children under 3 years are not permitted on this Farm Tour. No refunds will be issued for groups who arrive with younger children who do not meet these requirements. We appreciate your understanding.
Guests need to be able to negotiate a slow 20+ minute walk through the grove on uneven/mulched ground and climb a flight (approx. 24) of broad stairs w/a railing. There is no room on the vehicle to store walkers.
All guests must fill out and sign waivers before participating in the tour.
