About Hike Maui - Haleakala Crater Hike
Hike inside Haleakala National Park with Hike Maui on a guided 4-mile crater adventure featuring volcanic landscapes, high-elevation views and rare Maui scenery.
Trade palm trees for a lunar-like summit as you explore two very different zones inside Maui's dormant volcano. Begin at the 10,000-foot rim, where a two-mile path crosses a vast expanse of rust-colored cinder cones and swirling clouds. After soaking in the panorama, drop to the 8,000-foot level for another two-mile walk along an ancient lava flow dotted with silversword and other rare alpine plants. Throughout the day a naturalist guide explains the geology, native ecology and cultural legends that make Haleakala sacred.

Tour time: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Meet at the Kahului Park & Ride (View Map). The Park & Ride meeting location is along a large concrete wall with a single row of parking facing Hwy 380 west of Hwy 311.
Restrictions
Participants must be at least 8 years old.
All participants must wear closed-toed shoes.
Cancellation Policy:
Private tours are subject to a 72-hour cancellation policy, except during the holiday period of December 20 through January 5, which carries a one-week cancellation period. Our standard 48-hour cancellation policy applies to non-private tours.
