About Roberts Hawaii Shore Excursions - Waimea Canyon, Wailua River & Fern Grotto
See two classic Kauai landmarks in one shore excursion with Roberts Hawaii: Waimea Canyon on the west side and a Wailua River cruise to Fern Grotto.
Three of Kauai's most memorable landscapes come together in one shore excursion, from the deep, colorful walls of Waimea Canyon to the peaceful waters of the Wailua River and the lush natural setting of Fern Grotto.
Often called the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," Waimea Canyon reveals layers of red and green cliffs, distant waterfalls and rugged formations shaped by the Waimea River and the collapse of a volcano. On the way down from the canyon, visit Spouting Horn, where ocean waves rush into a lava tube and send water spraying as high as 50 feet, depending on the surf.
The journey continues to the Wailua River, the longest navigable river in all of Hawaii. Relax on a leisurely boat cruise accompanied by songs and stories of ancient Hawaii before stopping at Fern Grotto, a fern-covered lava cave that forms a beautiful natural amphitheater.
