About Blue Dolphin Charters - Kauai Whale Watching

Step aboard a roomy 65-foot catamaran and follow Kauai's sunny south shore in search of humpback whales that migrate here each winter. Certified captains and crew share fun facts about whale behavior while you enjoy smooth sailing in typically calm waters. When a spout appears, the engines idle so you can take in tail slaps, pectoral waves or even a full breach framed by the green cliffs of Poipu.
A hydrophone lets you listen to the haunting songs that echo beneath the surface, and the open decks give everyone an unobstructed view for photos. While you scan the horizon, nibble on tasty appetizers and toast the experience with an ice-cold Mai Tai or another favorite drink from the open bar.

Tour check-in time:

Location: Port Allen Harbor in Ele'ele View Map
Directions: Take Hwy 50 toward Ele'ele to Hwy 541, turn left at McDonald's toward the ocean. Check-in and retail office is located in the industrial complex on the right.
Restrictions
Cancellation policy:
For parties of 10 or more guests, this tour has a 72-hour cancellation policy to receive a full refund. Our standard 48 hour cancellation policy applies to parties of 1-9 guests.
Children under the age of 2 years as well as pregnant women may not participate in this tour.
Passengers must be able to walk onto boat and up or down ladder stairs unassisted (no wheelchairs).
All Blue Dolphin Charters cruises require barefoot boarding. If you have a medical issue that requires shoes, please tell us ahead of time.
