About Polynesian Adventure Tours - Waimea Canyon & Kokee Adventure (K4)
Head into Kauai's west side with Polynesian Adventure Tours on a guided Waimea Canyon and Kokee sightseeing tour featuring canyon lookouts, upland scenery and island narration.
Roll past red-earth fields and sleepy towns as you climb toward Kauai's rugged interior, where Waimea Canyon suddenly unravels in a panorama of rust-colored cliffs and emerald gorges so dramatic that Mark Twain nicknamed it the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific." Your guide points out sheer escarpments and hidden waterfalls before the road winds higher into the cool forests of Koke'e State Park.
Up here, a gentle nature trail reveals endemic flora, bird calls echoing through towering koa and 'ohi'a trees, and sweeping views from Pu'u Hinahina Lookout that frame the canyon in vivid green and scarlet. The route then loops south to the island's shoreline wonders—watch sea spray shoot skyward at Spouting Horn and stroll the historic Hanapepe Swinging Bridge after admiring valley vistas from a nearby lookout. A stop at Kauai Coffee Plantation rounds out the day with the aroma of fresh-roasted beans before the drive back to your hotel.
