The trip begins with an easy two-mile down-river paddle on the Hule'ia River through the Hule'ia National Wildlife Refuge, a protected wetland surrounded by lush scenery and home to native Hawaiian waterbirds.

After leaving the kayaks, follow your guide on a shaded 1.5-mile round-trip hike into a fern-filled valley beneath the Haupu Mountain Range. The trail leads to Hidden Falls, where a series of cascades drops into a clear swimming pool surrounded by tropical greenery.

After time to swim, take photos and hear stories about the area, the return is made by motorized canoe along the river, giving you a relaxed finish to the adventure.
