About Kohala Zipline - Kohala Canopy Adventure
Zip through North Kohala with Kohala Zipline on a guided canopy adventure featuring aerial bridges, treetop platforms and lush Big Island scenery.
Climb into the treetops of North Kohala for an aerial adventure through forested land shaped by streams, towering trees and generations of Hawaiian history. The Kohala Canopy Adventure combines ziplines, sky bridges and a final rappel, with platforms built into large trees and views that stretch across native kukui, eucalyptus and old taro terraces.
The course travels through Halawa at the northern tip of the Big Island and includes the only zip and bridge over a waterfall. Along the way, watch for the Kohala Ditch, an irrigation canal completed in 1906, and take on a series of ziplines that grow progressively longer as the tour continues.
Kohala Zipline uses dual WhisperLines, which consist of double cables with thick, durable coating to ensure your safety and comfort. Redundant safety systems with multiple attachment points are built into all components of the tour.
New additions at Kohala Zipline include a new planked suspension bridge approximately 60 feet long and 20" wide, suspended from overhead cables. Its "no handrails" design adds a fun new challenge. There is also a brand new 300-foot zipline departing from a ground-based platform through a small "window" cut in the trees, taking you nearly 100 feet off the ground!
