See the Big Island's remarkable variety in one full day, traveling from Kona coffee country to black sand beaches, volcanic craters, rainforest waterfalls and the dramatic cliffs of Waipio Valley. Along the way, your guide shares the island's history, geology and culture as the scenery changes from dry coastal terrain to lush rainforest and volcanic landscapes.

The day begins at a Kona coffee farm, where you can walk through the orchards, learn how the beans are harvested and milled, and sample freshly brewed Kona coffee. Continuing south, the route includes views toward Kealakekua Bay and South Point before reaching Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, where Hawaiian green sea turtles are often seen along the shore.

Inside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, see steam vents, lava fields and crater overlooks at Halema'uma'u and Kilauea Iki, then walk through Nahuku Lava Tube. Later, visit Akaka Falls and Rainbow Falls before finishing the day with sweeping views across Waipio Valley.
