About Kohala Zipline - Kohala Zip & Dip
Spend the day exploring North Kohala from the treetops to the waterfalls. The adventure begins with a scenic drive through the greener side of the Big Island, passing Hawi before reaching Kohala Zipline Station for an eight-line canopy course built through tall trees, streams and historic taro terraces.
The course includes suspension bridges, elevated platforms and a final rappel, with the lines growing longer as you move through the forest. After ziplining, continue to the Pololu Valley lookout for lunch and wide views across the valley.
In the afternoon, a 4-wheel-drive ride takes you deeper into the mountains before a short hike along private trails. You’ll cross an aqueduct bridge, see tunnels cut into solid rock and visit several waterfalls while learning more about the area’s Hawaiian history. At one of the falls, you can cool off with an optional swim beneath the cascading water.

Tour duration is approximately 7-8 hours roundtrip from Hawaii Forest & Trail Headquarters in Kailua-Kona and 6-7 hours roundtrip from Waikoloa Queen's Marketplace and the Shops at Mauna Lani.

Please meet us across the street from Home Depot at our Kona Headquarters. This is a departure point for many Hawaii Forest & Trail tours. This location also has a 900 sq. ft. retail store that includes outdoor gear and apparel, books, maps and gift items.

Please allow a 15-minute window for your driver to arrive.
Restrictions
Participants must weigh between 70 and 270 lbs (32-122 kg). All participants are weighed at check-in. There are no refunds for underweight or overweight guests. The weight requirement is strictly enforced.
Minimum age: 8 years old
Minor children require a parent or guardian to sign their participation agreement, and children between the ages of 8 and 13 require an adult to go on the tour with them.
This tour is not for those with back or neck problems and expectant mothers.
Participants must be able to walk over uneven terrain and handle short ascents and descents.
Lightweight pants or knee length shorts and a T-shirt are recommended because of harness.
May wear swimsuit under clothing for waterfall part of tour.
