About Kohala Zipline - Kohala Zip & Dip
Zip through North Kohala with Kohala Zipline on a guided Zip & Dip adventure featuring canopy ziplines, Big Island scenery and swim time when conditions allow.
Begin with a scenic drive from the Big Island's dry-side resort area into the lush landscapes of North Kohala, passing the plantation town of Hawi on the way to Kohala Zipline Station. Here, an eight-line canopy course winds through majestic trees above ancient taro terraces and flowing streams, with soaring platforms, arching suspension bridges and an exciting rappel from a tree at the end of the course.
After the zipline adventure, continue to the "end of the road" at Pololu Valley for a deli lunch at a lookout with beautiful views across the valley. The afternoon leads deeper into the mountains by 4-wheel drive vehicle, followed by a short hike along a private trail. Cross an aqueduct bridge, see tunnels carved from solid rock and learn about ancient Hawaiian history while visiting several tropical waterfalls. At one of the falls, you can cool off with an optional swim beneath the cascading water.

Tour duration is approximately 7-8 hours roundtrip from Hawaii Forest & Trail Headquarters in Kailua-Kona and 6-7 hours roundtrip from Waikoloa Queen's Marketplace and the Shops at Mauna Lani.

Please meet us across the street from Home Depot at our Kona Headquarters. This is a departure point for many Hawaii Forest & Trail tours. This location also has a 900 sq. ft. retail store that includes outdoor gear and apparel, books, maps and gift items.

Please allow a 15-minute window for your driver to arrive.
Restrictions
Participants must weigh between 70 and 270 lbs (32-122 kg). All participants are weighed at check-in. There are no refunds for underweight or overweight guests. The weight requirement is strictly enforced.
Minimum age: 8 years old
Minor children require a parent or guardian to sign their participation agreement, and children between the ages of 8 and 13 require an adult to go on the tour with them.
This tour is not for those with back or neck problems and expectant mothers.
Participants must be able to walk over uneven terrain and handle short ascents and descents.
Lightweight pants or knee length shorts and a T-shirt are recommended because of harness.
May wear swimsuit under clothing for waterfall part of tour.
