About Waikoloa Deluxe Morning Whale Watch
Start the day on the Kohala Coast with a 1.5-hour whale watch aboard Holona, a smooth and comfortable powerboat departing from Anaeho'omalu Bay. During whale season, the morning waters offer the chance to spot breaches, tail slaps and other humpback activity while the coastline and mountain views unfold around you.
As the boat moves along the coast, look back toward Mauna Kea, Hualalai and the shoreline while the crew shares information about whale behavior, migration and local marine life. The fully shaded seating makes it easy to relax between sightings, and drinks are served on board throughout the cruise.
Whale sightings are guaranteed from December through March. If no whales are seen, you may return for one free re-ride. Re-ride only, no refunds.

Where & When
Check in at 9:15 am. Tour departs at 9:45 am and returns at 11:15 am.
Look for the orange Hawaii Nautical check-in banner near the two prominent coconut trees. The tender to the catamaran will meet you there.
Driving Directions:
Set your GPS to 69-1081 Kuualii Place Waikoloa, HI 96738. This will take you toward the A-Bay beach and the Lava Lava Beach Club. Park at the A-Bay Beach Park parking lot and walk along the beach toward the middle.
Restrictions
There are no specific restrictions for this activity.
Please keep in mind this is on a 30 foot powerboat and may not be suitable for those prone to motion sickness or with an injury that would be aggravated by the motion of this boat in the water.

Hawaii Nautical Wildlife Guarantee: If no whales are seen during your tour, come back again one (1) more time for free on a trip of same or lesser value. Wildlife guaranty is for re-rides only, no refunds.

The Holona is a 34 passenger 40-foot bow-loading power boat, fully shaded, spacious bench seating and is equipped with an onboard restroom. This is a fast and nimble open powerboat, with plenty of sea spray likely on trips outside the bay.
