Morning on the Kohala Coast brings crisp ocean air, wide mountain views and the chance to see humpback whales at their most active. Departing from Anaeho'omalu Bay aboard Holona, a smooth, fast and comfortable powerboat, this 1.5-hour cruise searches the warm winter waters for breaches, tail slaps and playful surface activity.
As the boat moves along the coast, enjoy panoramic views of Mauna Kea, Hualalai and the shoreline while the knowledgeable crew shares insight into whale behavior, migration and local marine life. Check in at 9:15 am. Tour departs at 9:45 am and returns at 11:15 am.
Look for the orange Hawaii Nautical check-in banner near the two prominent coconut trees. The tender to the catamaran will meet you there.
Driving Directions:
Set your GPS to 69-1081 Kuualii Place Waikoloa, HI 96738. This will take you toward the A-Bay beach and the Lava Lava Beach Club. Park at the A-Bay Beach Park parking lot and walk along the beach toward the middle.

There are no specific restrictions for this activity.
Please keep in mind this is on a 30 foot powerboat and may not be suitable for those prone to motion sickness or with an injury that would be aggravated by the motion of this boat in the water.

The Holona is a 34 passenger 40-foot bow-loading power boat, fully shaded, spacious bench seating and is equipped with an onboard restroom. This is a fast and nimble open powerboat, with plenty of sea spray likely on trips outside the bay.
