About Whale & Dolphin Discovery Adventure
Watch for humpback whales along the Kona shoreline with Dolphin Discoveries, with a chance to spot dolphins, sea turtles and other marine wildlife when conditions allow.
Kona's offshore waters are alive with marine life throughout the year, making this a beautiful choice for guests who want to enjoy the ocean without getting in the water. Cruise along the coastline while watching for whales, dolphins, sea turtles and other wildlife moving through their natural habitat.
During the winter months, Pacific humpback whales arrive from Alaska to mate and give birth in Hawaii's warm waters. Other possible sightings include pilot whales, beaked whales and melon-headed whales, while Hawaiian spinner dolphins, Pacific bottlenose dolphins and green sea turtles may be seen year round.
Along the way, observe, photograph and learn about these remarkable animals with help from the crew. When humpback whales are present, the boat's underwater hydrophone system may let you hear their songs and other vocalizations beneath the surface.
