About Whale & Dolphin Discovery Adventure
Stay on board and enjoy the Kona Coast while the crew keeps watch for wildlife moving through the open water. Depending on the season and the day, you may see whales, dolphins, sea turtles and other marine life without ever needing to get wet.
Winter is the main season for Pacific humpback whales, which travel to Hawaii’s warmer waters from Alaska. At other times of year, you may still spot spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, green sea turtles and other species that frequent the waters off Kona.
The crew helps you identify what you are seeing and shares information about the animals along the way. When humpbacks are in the area, the onboard hydrophone may also give you a chance to hear their songs beneath the surface.

Where & When
Check-in is at 8:00 am at the picnic table next to the public restrooms, across from the Keauhou Bay boat ramp.

Tour returns at approximately 11:30 am.
There is street parking along Kaleiopapa Street.
Restrictions
Participants must be at least 5 years old.
Participants must weigh under 280 pounds (127 kg).
This activity is not suitable for persons with neck or back problems or who are pregnant.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 passengers required for tours to go out.
