About Waikoloa Deluxe Afternoon Whale Watch
Watch for humpback whales from Anaehoomalu Bay on a Waikoloa afternoon whale watch with Hawaii Nautical. This seasonal Big Island cruise includes Kohala Coast scenery, onboard drinks and a comfortable sailing catamaran.
Afternoon light, open ocean views and the excitement of whale season come together on this 1.5-hour cruise from Anaeho'omalu Bay. Aboard Spirit of Aloha, you'll sail along the Kohala Coast in search of humpback whales returning to Hawaii's warm winter waters from December through March.
Watch for breaches, tail slaps and playful activity at the surface while the crew shares insight into whale behavior, migration patterns and marine conservation. Tropical cocktails, beer, wine, soda and juice are available as you relax and take in panoramic views of the coastline, Mauna Kea and Hualalai.
Whale sightings are guaranteed from December through March or you can return for a free re-ride. Re-ride only, no refunds.

Check in at 1:25 pm. Tour departs at 1:45 pm and returns at 3:15 pm.
Look for the orange Hawaii Nautical check-in banner near the two prominent coconut trees. The tender to the catamaran will meet you there.
Driving Directions:
Set your GPS to 69-1081 Kuualii Place Waikoloa, HI 96738. This will take you toward the A-Bay beach and the Lava Lava Beach Club. Park at the A-Bay Beach Park parking lot and walk along the beach toward the middle.
