About Waikoloa Deluxe Afternoon Whale Watch
Spend a winter afternoon on the water from Anaeho'omalu Bay aboard Spirit of Aloha. This 1.5-hour whale watch follows the Kohala Coast during the December through March season, when humpback whales return to Hawaii’s warm waters.
Keep your eyes on the surface for breaches, tail slaps and other whale activity while the crew shares information about migration, behavior and marine conservation. Between sightings, you can relax with wide views toward the coastline, Mauna Kea and Hualalai.
Whale sightings are guaranteed from December through March. If no whales are seen, you may return for one free re-ride. Re-ride only, no refunds.

Where & When
Check in at 1:25 pm. Tour departs at 1:45 pm and returns at 3:15 pm.
Look for the orange Hawaii Nautical check-in banner near the two prominent coconut trees. The tender to the catamaran will meet you there.
Driving Directions:
Set your GPS to 69-1081 Kuualii Place Waikoloa, HI 96738. This will take you toward the A-Bay beach and the Lava Lava Beach Club. Park at the A-Bay Beach Park parking lot and walk along the beach toward the middle.

The Spirit of Aloha is a Gold Coast 54-foot 49-passenger sailing catamaran. This large vessel is safe for all ages with conveniences that include an on-board freshwater shower, restrooms, plenty of shade, and ample seating.
