About Hawaii Volcanoes National Park & Rainbow Falls
Enter a landscape shaped by fire at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where steaming earth, ancient lava formations and vast crater views reveal the power beneath the Big Island. Travel comfortably by air-conditioned minibus to Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, and see how millions of years of volcanic activity have transformed the land and influenced the lives of the people who call it home.
Although Kilauea rises just over 4,000 feet and is not the tallest volcano on the island, its continuing activity has left an extraordinary lava footprint. Follow a section of the crater rim for striking views, feel heat escaping from volcanic fissures at the Steam Vents Lookout and walk through the Nahuku Lava Tube. The tour also visits Rainbow Falls, where mist rising from the cascading water may create colorful rainbows above the pool below.
Tour Highlights
- Liliuokalani Garden – the park's site was donated by Queen Liliuokalani. Built in 1917 – 1919, it is the largest such garden outside Japan.

- Halemaumau* – a pit crater within the much larger Kilauea Caldera at the summit of Kilauea volcano
- Rainbow Falls* – waterfall cascades to a pool below, rainbows magically form in the mist

Where & When
Departs Hilo Harbor at 8:30 am. Returns at 1:00 pm. Look for a green Roberts Hawaii bus.
Restrictions
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made outside of 48 hours from service day are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 48 hours from service day are non-refundable. If you would like to make a change to your reservation outside of 48 hours, if there is availability, we may be able to accommodate. Special Notes
Children under the age of 4 years old are complimentary if they can be securely held on their guardian's lap. We do not provide child seats. If the guardian requires a seat for the child under the age of 4, the regular rate will be applicable.
Please contact us if anyone in your party has special needs. If you require an ADA lift bus, we do require at least 48 hours a notice to secure availability.

No guaranteed sightings of lava flows.
Volcanic fumes can be hazardous. This tour is not recommended for visitors with heart or breathing problems and infants and pregnant women.
