About Rainbow Helicopters - Kona Coast Hualalai Volcano
Take in the beauty of the Kona Coast from the air on a helicopter flight that showcases lava-shaped shoreline, historic bays and some of the Big Island's most scenic coastal landmarks. Shortly after departing Kona Airport, enjoy sweeping views of Kailua Bay, the ancient Kaloko fishponds and Ali'i Drive, where the island's history and modern resort coastline meet.
As the flight continues south, look down on white-sand stretches such as Magic Sands Beach and the green slopes of Kona coffee country rising toward Hualalai. The route then passes above Kealakekua Bay and the Captain Cook Monument before continuing to the historic Place of Refuge at Honaunau.
From there, the scenery shifts inland and northward, with aerial views of Kaupulehu Crater, the rugged upper slopes of Hualalai and the broad expanse of Puu Waawaa Forest Reserve. The return portion of the flight follows the Kohala Coast past Anaeho'omalu Bay, Kiholo Bay and the remote white sands of Makalawena Beach before landing back in Kona.

Restrictions
Due to FAA regulations, children 24 months and over require an individual full-fare seat. Any child under 24 months is welcome on the lap of a responsible adult at no charge.
For each passenger weighing 250-274 lbs (113-124 kg), a weight balance fee of an additional 50% is required. For each passenger weighing 275 lbs (124.7 kg) or more, a weight balance fee of an additional 100% is required. The maximum weight per passenger is 300 lbs (136 kg).

The Airbus AStar seats 6 guests and has a spacious and comfortable cabin and panoramic interior for optimum visibility. The Robinson R44 seats 3 guests (all window seats) and features an open cabin design, offering unobstructed views for great pictures.
