A quiet stretch of the Umauma River becomes your own private playground on this relaxed Big Island adventure. Swim beneath the falls, paddle across the river by kayak or stand up paddleboard, or simply settle in and enjoy the lush scenery with family and friends.
The setting feels wonderfully secluded, with a private pavilion where a catered lunch is served. This tropical escape was even featured as the backdrop of an episode of "The Bachelorette."

Where & When
Tour time: 12:00 pm to approximately 1:15 pm.
Check in at 11:15 am at Umauma Experience, 31-313 Old Mamalahoa Hwy, Hakalau, HI 96710. You'll see a steep concrete driveway with an overhead wooden sign reading The Umauma Experience. Turn up the drive and the Visitor Center will be at the top on the right.

Tour departs at 11:45 am from the Visitor Center and returns at 1:30 pm.
Restrictions
Children must be at least 4 years old to participate in this activity.
Children under age 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
No history of neck or back injury.
Pregnant women may not participate.
