The ride to the dive site lasts about fifteen minutes. Along the way your guide explains shark behavior, safety hand signals and how to maintain calm body language in the water. Once moored over 600-foot blue, you slide down the swim ladder, grasp a floating line at the surface and watch sleek shadows glide up from the depths. The crew stays right beside you, adjusting spacing as curious sharks pass within a few feet and pointing out subtle traits—from dorsal-fin notches to courtship scars—that help scientists identify individuals.

No tanks are required; you snorkel on breath-holds of your choice while flotation belts keep even first-timers relaxed. Visibility often reaches 100 feet, and a staff photographer captures wide-angle shots so you take home more than memories. Surface observers are welcome on deck—low rails and open sightlines make it easy to frame fin shots without getting wet.

Every charter includes mask, fins, life vest, reef-safe sunscreen and a post-dive debrief that covers conservation actions you can take after vacation ends. Age minimum is 12 for in-water guests (riders from 3 years and up may stay topside), and closed-toe shoes plus a towel keep the round trip comfortable. Free parking lines the harbor, and check-in is fifteen minutes before departure beside Slip 35.

Trips run year-round at 7:00 am, 9:30 am and noon—early slots catch glassy seas and bright light for photography; later departures often share water with spinner dolphins and, in winter, breaching humpbacks on the horizon. If sharks choose not to appear—a rarity—you receive a standby pass for another day.
