Kaula Luau

Spend the evening at Ocean's Edge in Ko Olina, where sunset views, Hawaiian storytelling and Polynesian performance come together in one oceanfront setting. Kaula Luau is built around a continuous story rather than a collection of separate acts, giving the night a more connected and personal feel from beginning to end.

The story follows a kupuna and her granddaughter as they explore genealogy, family ties and cultural connections between Hawaii, Tahiti and Samoa. Music, mele, oli, hula, drumming, acrobatics and fire-knife performance all become part of that journey, with each segment carrying the story forward.

Before the show, you can join interactive cultural activities and friendly competitions, then settle in for dinner and the evening performance. The name "Kaula" means the binding cord, a fitting theme for a luau centered on ancestry, memory and the connections that carry traditions from one generation to the next.
