About Kailua Beach Adventures - Self-Guided Kayaking Discovery
Set out from Kailua Beach on a self-guided kayaking package with offshore island paddling, snorkel gear, lunch, beach gear, lockers and shower facilities included.
Pick up your gear just steps from Kailua Bay, load your dry bag, and paddle off at your own pace toward the offshore islets that dot this turquoise playground. Whether you choose the postcard-perfect Mokulua twins or nearby Popoia Island, each landing feels like a private slice of paradise—and you decide how long to stay.
After a thorough beach briefing you'll have up to four leisurely hours to glide across clear water, beach your kayak on white-sand coves, and slip on a mask in search of curious green sea turtles. When you return, fresh-water showers and changing rooms let you clean up before enjoying an included lunch and swapping stories of the reefs you explored.

Tour Times: 8:00 am, 9:15 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, or 2:30 pm
Check in at 15 minutes before tour time at 130 Kailua Road, Kailua Beach Adventures Beachside Center (View Map).
Waikiki Roundtrip Transportation: Roundtrip transportation from Waikiki area hotels is available for an additional fee for the 9:15 am tour only. If you book your tour with transportation, the exact pick-up time and location depends on where you are staying and will be emailed with your confirmation. It will be at approximately 8:00 am.
Restrictions
Cancellation Policy: To receive a full refund, tour must be canceled before 12:00 pm two days preceding the activity date. No refund is available if tour is canceled after 12:00 pm two days preceding the activity date.
Minimum age 8 years.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Ages 8-16 must ride in a double kayak with a parent or guardian.
Guests will need to transport their kayak to/from the beach via cart (5-10 minute walk).
All guests must be able to swim at least 15 yards and be in reasonable physical condition. A U.S. Coast Guard Approved Type III PFD must be worn but is no substitute for the ability to swim.
Everyone in the party must be able to swim or you will not be able to go on the tour and will not receive a refund within the cancellation policy.
Guests with disabilities should contact the Kailua Beach Adventures Manager at least 24 hours prior to tour date for accommodations.
Activities are offered rain or shine. If Kailua Beach Adventures decides weather conditions provide a concern for safety they reserve the right to cancel, delay, alter, refund or reschedule a tour. They will usually still operate up to 22 mph trade winds or from non trade winds sustained winds less than 15 mph and gusts under 22 mph. The exterior reef protects Kailua Bay in nearly all ocean conditions. Rentals & Self-Guided kayak tours to the Mokulua Islands will be restricted when there is a High Surf Advisory that requires it.
