Gunstock Ranch – Sunset Horseback Experience

Ride into the golden light of late afternoon on a private horseback journey through Gunstock Ranch, a 400-acre working ranch near Turtle Bay on Oahu's North Shore. Set beneath the Ko'olau Mountains, the ranch offers peaceful trails, wide-open scenery and occasional glimpses of the ocean below.

This two-hour walking-only ride offers a relaxed Paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy) experience for guests ages 7 and up, with no trotting or cantering. As you wind through the mountain trails, stop at a scenic lookout with sweeping views of Oahu's windward coastline before gathering around a campfire for a warm dinner.

Water and Hawaiian Sun fruit drinks are served with the meal, and there is time to roast marshmallows over the fire. After dinner, your wrangler will help you back onto your horse for the quiet ride home as dusk settles over the ranch.
