About Roberts Hawaii Shore Excursions - Wailua River Cruise & Fern Grotto Afternoon Tour
Spend your afternoon on Kauai with Roberts Hawaii on a cruise-ship shore excursion featuring a Wailua River boat ride and a visit to Fern Grotto.
Drift into the peaceful beauty of Kauai on an afternoon journey along the Wailua River, the longest navigable river in all of Hawaii. The gentle boat ride follows a freshwater river framed by tropical greenery, with songs and stories of the old Hawaii adding meaning to the scenery along the way.
Step ashore at Fern Grotto, a fern-fringed lava cave that forms a natural amphitheater and has long been a popular setting for weddings. The tour also visits the Opaekaa Falls lookout point, where one of Kauai's most beautiful waterfalls drops 151 feet into a hidden pool below.

Where & When
Departs Nawiliwili Harbor in Lihue at 2:30 pm. Returns at 6:00 pm. Look for a green Roberts Hawaii bus.
Restrictions
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made outside of 48 hours from service day are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 48 hours from service day are non-refundable. If you would like to make a change to your reservation outside of 48 hours, if there is availability, we may be able to accommodate. Special Notes
Children under the age of 2 years old are complimentary if they can be securely held on their guardian's lap. We do not provide child seats. If the guardian requires a seat for the child under the age of 2, the regular rate will be applicable.
Please contact us if anyone in your party has special needs. If you require an ADA lift bus, we do require at least 48 hours a notice to secure availability. Not all stops on this tour are ADA accessible. The Wailua River Boat Cruise is not ADA accessible. Guests unable to walk on their own will need to be assisted by someone in their own party to be carried in/out of the boat.
A stop at Paradise Garden is made if Fern Grotto is closed.
