Wasabi Tours – Big Island Waterfalls Adventure

About Big Island Waterfalls Adventure

Spend the day with Wasabi Tours exploring the Big Island's rainforest side, with Waipio Valley Lookout, Akaka Falls, Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve & Garden and Kulaniapia Falls swim time when conditions allow.

Wasabi Tours Hawaii 10-11 hours

Waterfalls shape the rhythm of this Big Island adventure, from misty rainforest trails to dramatic valley overlooks and a refreshing swim beneath a private cascade. After passing through the famous Parker Ranch, the first stop is Waipio Valley Lookout, where lush green mountains descend toward the sparkling blue sea and a mile-long black sand beach stretches along the coast.

The journey continues along the verdant Hamakua Coast to Akaka Falls, where water plunges hundreds of feet into a stream-eroded gorge. From there, enter the tropical beauty of Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve & Garden in scenic Onomea Bay. Nature trails weave through rainforest, cross bubbling streams and pass several waterfalls, while more than 2,000 species of exotic tropical plants and orchids create endless opportunities for close-up photos.

In the afternoon, cool off beneath the 120-foot Kulaniapia private waterfall, Hawaii's largest privately accessible waterfall, if river conditions permit. The return to Kona/Kohala follows the Saddle Road between the world's tallest sea mountain, Mauna Kea, and the world's most massive mountain, Mauna Loa.
