About Makalei Golf Club
Makalei Golf Club is located in the Kona area on the Big Island's west shore, with elevation changes from about 1,800 to 2,850 feet. That higher setting brings cooler playing conditions than many coastal courses and gives the round a different feel from ocean-level golf.
The 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Dick Nugent and includes lava tubes, bent grass greens, cinder cones and a stone wall more than a century old. Native plants and wildlife are part of the setting too, with pheasants, peacocks and turkeys often seen during play.
All prices are per person and include golf cart rental.
