About Captain Zodiac - Beat the Crowd Snorkeling Tour
Snorkel the Kona coast with Captain Zodiac on an early Beat the Crowd Snorkeling Tour featuring Kealakekua Bay, reef scenery, marine life and a fast raft-style ride.
Push off from Honokohau Harbor at 10 am and cruise 14 miles of lava coastline while earlier tours head back to port. Around noon the raft slips into Kealakekua Bay, leaving you to explore coral gardens and the Captain Cook Monument with far fewer swimmers in the water. With five hours on the water there's time to linger over sea caves, blowholes and archways and still enjoy an unrushed snorkel session in some of Hawaii's clearest water.
Tour Highlights
- Five-hour mid-day tour designed to avoid the morning crowds
- Raft past lava tubes, sea caves and rugged Kona shoreline
- Snorkel Kealakekua Bay Marine Preserve beneath the Captain Cook Monument
- Chance to spot spinner dolphins, sea turtles and vibrant reef fish
Tour Inclusions
- Snorkel gear: silicone masks (including prescription), fins, float boards or vests
- Detailed snorkeling instruction
- Light deli lunch with fresh pineapple, chips, cookies and soft drinks
- Refill stations for reusable water bottles (bring your own or purchase at check-in)
