Rotors hum to life over Kona Airport, and in moments the shoreline unfurls beneath you: ancient Kaloko fishponds carved into lava rock, the sapphire sweep of Kailua Bay and palm-lined Alii Drive tracing the water's edge. Heading south, the powdery crescent of Magic Sands Beach contrasts with the emerald terraces of Kona coffee farms before the helicopter banks over Kealakekua Bay, where the Captain Cook Monument marks a chapter of island history.
An inland turn reveals the dark cones of Kaupulehu Crater and the rugged flanks of Hualalai volcano, soon giving way to the green expanse of Puu Waawaa Forest Reserve. The loop north glides above Kiholo's turquoise lagoons and the hidden white sand of Makalawena Beach before returning to Kona, leaving camera cards loaded with coastal color and volcanic drama.

Restrictions
Due to FAA regulations, children 24 months and over require an individual full-fare seat. Any child under 24 months is welcome on the lap of a responsible adult at no charge.
For each passenger weighing 250-274 lbs (113-124 kg), a weight balance fee of an additional 50% is required. For each passenger weighing 275 lbs (124.7 kg) or more, a weight balance fee of an additional 100% is required. The maximum weight per passenger is 300 lbs (136 kg).

The Airbus AStar seats 6 guests and has a spacious and comfortable cabin and panoramic interior for optimum visibility. The Robinson R44 seats 3 guests (all window seats) and features an open cabin design, offering unobstructed views for great pictures.
