About Mauna Loa Helicopters - Private Big Island Experience
See the Big Island from above on a private helicopter charter booked by the flight rather than by individual seat. Depending on the option selected, the aircraft accommodates either 3 or 4 passengers, giving your group a more private way to take in the island's enormous scale.
The route includes aerial views of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa and Kilauea before continuing toward the lush Hamakua Coast. From there, the flight reaches into Waipio, Waimanu and Pololu valleys, where steep cliffs, deep green terrain and tall waterfalls create some of the island's most dramatic scenery.
You will also cross the Kohala region and follow stretches of coastline marked by white sand beaches, historic Hawaiian sites and traces of old settlements before returning from the flight.

Restrictions
Minimum age: 7 years old
12 years and older can fly with the doors off.
All minors under 18 years old must be accompanied by and adult.
Weight restrictions: 285 lbs (129 kg) per person and group total cannot exceed 700 lbs (317 kg). Weights are taken at check-in. If weight exceeds limits, a $200 refueling fee will apply.
For doors off flights: No loose items on the flight. All items must be secured to you at all times.
Cancellations or delays to the flight are at the pilot's discretion for safety reasons. If the pilot cancels the flight prior to take off, rescheduling will take place or full refunds will be issued.
