If you are planning a visit during the months of Dec. through May, you can also view our yearly visitors, the Humpback Whales. They come to Maui each year to give birth to their calves, only to get pregnant again before heading back to their summer home, Alaska. This gives us the unique opportunity to see them frolicking and playful, while they teach their young how to swim, breach, and all the other wonderful things they will need to know to be an active member of their close knit society. | |
