An incredible family adventure for ages 6 and up.
Walking the winding trails of this ancient underground lava tube system is fun, safe and easy! You'll witness a fascinating world of Stalactites, Stalagmites and flowstone created ages ago! Signs are posted along the way pointing out and explaining the formations you'll see throughout the cave. A cool temperature of 57 to 64 degrees F.,with 20 - 40 ft. high ceilings! Guests need to be physically fit for walking on sometimes uneven terrain and have good vision. Reservations are NOT taken for this tour. We reserve the right to close occasionally for unforeseen circumstances; therefore, we highly recommend you call the day before to confirm that we will be open.

"Guided Walking Cave Tour"

Children: Ages 6 years or older / ages 6-17 must be accompanied by an adult. Most of the cave is easy walking. There is no paved walkway throughout. We walk on the original floor of the cave, sometimes smooth cinders while parts are over rough a'a' lava. You'll have to duck down in a couple of spots and any crawling is optional for those wearing pants. Walk with our experienced and friendly guides, as they explain how the island of Maui was formed. A Great Family Adventure! 20 guests maximum. Tour is offered Fri & Sat at 11:15 am ONLY!

Caving Gear:
We supply all the gear: flashlights (mandatory), hardhats and hip-packs (optional).

Limitations
The suggested weight limit is 230 pounds on this tour.
This has to do with physical abilities and fatigue levels.

"WILD Adventure" Cave Tour

(2 1/2 hours)
No children on this tour / must be 15 years or older. Physically athletic only! You've got to crawl through a couple of tight spots and climb a ladder on this tour, but that's just part of the fun. Trails become rougher and the lava formations are great. 8-10 hikers maximum. Tour is offered Fri & Sat at 1:15 pm ONLY!

Caving Attire:
We suggest wearing jeans, t-shirt, and closed toe shoes.

Caving Gear:
We supply all the gear: hardhats, gloves, flashlights, hip-packs w/purified water bottle and candy bar.
